2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, with great gratitude to Savvy1982. My first beer out of The Pipeline! YEAH! Nice looking beer here, bright hazy yellow gold with a fairly lively white head that leaves some early lace. Aroma is incredibly soapy, with a bicarbonate edge. Wow, this is really soapy on the deep inhale! There is a suggestion of white grapefruit or unripe guava in here, but itís really just soapy. The flavour is thankfully not in line with the nose, and has a very nice biscuity malt base that moves quickly into a "new plastic" flavour that is very distracting. The finish is dry and bitter, and yes, a little soapy. The plastic thing faded toward the end thankfully, but maybe I just became numb to it. Not bad, but not one of HPís better offerings.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home, from my Minneapolis Town Hall glass; Pours clear greenish honey-gold with a 1-finger white head, and surprisingly good lacing. Nose is woody hops, clean grain, light citrus, some unfortunate buttery and cardboardy notes are here as well. Flavours are better than the nose, more hops, moderately clean malt, maybe Maris Otter? Spicy and earthy, but really unremarkable. A rare miss for Half Pints, which hurts me to say a little bit...

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
The nutty aftertaste is what kills this beer. Pale colour with ample carbonation. Purchase this to support the cause, not because of the taste. Donít hold this against Half Pints; they have to do what they have to do : )

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled sample. Pale orange in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of pale malt, floral soap, and lawn clippings. Flavours are of grainy pale malts, creme caramel, cut grass and some mellow sweet citrus. Moderate bitterness, but an odd malt sweetness lingers on the palate. Not bad overall, but plays it VERY safe.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to Savvy1982! Clear light orange pour, nice lasting carbonation and a little head and nice aroma of subtle hops and a little honey like sweetness. Flavor has a decent malty flavor to start, more light dry/woody hops and finished with a bit of bitters on the aftertaste. Decent.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Lo Pub. Taste is a little bitter, but also sweet. I gulped this down in a flash so I donít have much to say, but it was enjoyable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2012 Orange in colour. Subtlely sweet aroma. The taste is sweet then a bit of bitter hops. Nicely balanced. Could drink a lot of these.
