22 oz. bottle (savvy1982 @ rbwg, recently b3shine). Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, oak, whiskey, some chocolate, vanilla, decent balance, not a big imperial stout, but solid.

Bomber to snifter (shared by me with the group; thanks DuffMan). Looks good; a dark, opaque cola with ample beige head. Smells of dark malt and chocolate. Tastes like it smells with a touch of booze and a solid mouthfeel. Good beer!

Bomber from Tbadiuk. Black with a nice creamy mocha head. Anise, sweet and semi roasted malt, hint of lactose that addes to the chocolate characteristics, some vanilla, alcohol is mild but present which is quite nice - well balanced. Mild carbonation with a moderate+ body, starts with a bit of sweetness but then becomes bitter, quite smooth, nice anise finish but a little mild on the palate at the very end. Overall a very good beer.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, a smooth chocolate with smooth licorice, coffee, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice chocolate with mocha, herbal hops, light meaty notes, aniseed & alcohol.

650mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours an amber-tinged black with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma is quite berry-like, with loads of fruitiness, not much sign of the whiskey barrels, just a bit of wood. Flavour is a bit tart, with loads of berries, some dark fruits, a small hint of whiskey barrels, and some caramel. Very complex, quite atypical for an impie stout with the pronounced fruitiness. The whiskey barrels are very subtle, providing a tasteful accentuation of the base beer. A bit too highly carbonated for the style, but not too detracting. I didn’t like this beer at first, but after finishing my glass, I was convinced. Great stuff.

Wonderfully complex stout. Dynamic armoa and taste. Tough to focus one aspect as rich and complex on the palate

Bottle (Thanks Kyle): Poured a deep black color stout with a nice light brown color head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of whisky is quite dominant with light sweet ester. Taste is a well balanced mix between some creamy whisky notes with light roasted malt. Body is fuller then average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well balanced with loads of whisky notes thought no burning alcohol and balanced out by a solid malt backbone.

22 oz. bottle from Savvy1982- thanks again, Kyle! Pours a dark brown color, pretty much opaque, with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, molasses, dark fruits, whiskey, oats, and charred oak. Flavor of oak, molasses, whiskey, dark fruits, roasted malts, toasted brown sugar, and chocolate. Some warmth to it. Medium-bodied, with a roasty mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Solid.

650ml bottle pours almost black in color with a small light brown head and a bit of lacing left on the side of the glass. Aroma is complex with a lot going on, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and whiskey with a trace of hops. Taste is dark roasted bitterness and malty sweetness with some chocolate and coffee and a floral hoppy finish. This is one heck of an imperial stout, very complex and very enjoyable.

bottle from savvy at rbwg 3/5/11. basically a black pour with brown at the edges and a khaki head. it is not as thick as most examples of the style. nice smoky nose... along with black pepper, barrel spice, earthy hops, a little ash, choco and roast. the flavor matches the aroma but finishes roasty and leaves an ashy aftertaste. medium body...forte but not thick... crisp and prickly. nice. 8/3/8/4/16/3.9
