Our bourbon barrel aged imperial. Different base recipe than the $ellout.

Taste- very well balanced, not too sweet and not overly hot from the bourbon and abv. Similar flavours noticed in the nose flow carry through in the taste. The bourbon is quite pronounced and the oak gives a slight acidity to the beer , which along with a touch of heat allows for a dry and fudgy finish and a medium mouthfeel. This is an excellent effort for being the first bourbon barrel treated beer from HP (others being rye barrel only to my knowledge)

Hmmm, i dont know why i dont have a rate for this, i remember getting a bottle from northropfrye so...sorry and thank you! Love this stuff. Oily black, with a coffee and oak nose. Taste is licorice, coffee, vanilla, bourbon although the age seems to have mellowed it a bit. Fantastic.

Bomber. Pours a pure black color with a small beige head. A big sweet whiskey barrel nose. The flavor is vanilla, hot whiskey, oak, chocolate, dark fruit. Very damn good.

This beer here, this beer I had @ the Grand Tasting... Compliments of some kind soul... that I assume is from the good old days.
Pours basically black with a small but well retained head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is chocolate and roasty with some sweeter raisin and port wine notes. Itís defiantly got some coffee going on in there... itís a big bouquet on this one.

The flavor is rich & chocolaty... like the the point of fudge like. ITís got a good bit of vanilla and warming booziness. Itís got a nice coffee like roastiness throughout. The barrel character is nicely integrated here for sure.

Sampled at the RBSG14 Grand Tasting - Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has chocolate, vanilla, oak and light grainy wood. It has a full rich body with soft carbonation. The flavor starts with oak, roast, bitterness and dark chocolate. The finish is rough and shows alcohol and grainy oak. Enjoyable imperial stout.

Bottle @ GTís Cat Cabana. Thanks, GT. Black pour with a khaki head. Fumy alcohol aroma up front. Roasted malt, bourbon, brandy, and grape. Some vanilla, brown sugar, and chocolate syrup. A bit of graham cracker, as well. The flavor is pleasantly sweet. Lots of bourbon, vanilla, and graham cracker. Some roasted malt, a bit of bitter dark chocolate, sweet chocolate syrup, and burnt sugar. Good stuff.
