Well this number 100. Pours like thick oil sludge with brown tan head. The smell is a straight punch of roasty bourbon awesomeness, even my girlfriend who does not dig beer thinks this smells "interesting" and tastes "nice" and believe me thats saying something for a imp stout cause she usually hates these suckers. There is lots of sweet vanilla up front, it has a smooth creamy like finish with bits of oak from the barrel..I could go on but yea this shit is freaking awesome.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a pitch black with little brown head that dissapear quickly. Strong aromas of vanilla, milk chocolate, bourbon, oak. Taste is full of milk chocolate, vanilla, oak, roasted malts. Texture is super silky, full body, and low to medium carbonation. Wow. This one is very impressive.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is tantalizing - bourbon, dark chocolate, bready, malty nose with a bit of sweetness. Taste is complex - taking several sips to get a sense of it. Bourbon, dark chocolate, and espresso notes. Not as sticky and sweet as others in the style - which is well received by me. Very drinkable for the intensity and ABV. Fantastic offering and something no beer geek should overlook. For Canadian beer geeks, you are doing yourself a real disfavour to not get yourself a bottle or tasting of this gem. Beg, borrow, steal, or trade your way to a bottle - trust me.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle (650 ml). Thanks to Andrew for this one! Black with a medium brown head, good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, bourbon, coconut, wood, dark chocolate, coffee and slight hops. Taste is moderately sweet with vanilla, caramel, bourbon, dark chocolate, coconut, slight alcohol, wood and a really slight bitter finish. Full bodied. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Really complex and great balance! Probably the best Canadian beer that I’ve tasted so far. World class RIS that can compete with the best of the style. A true masterpiece!

ok, this is fucking amazing! NOt as amazing as the Napalm Death hard on i got going on though but its a close second. k, i just spent almost an hour smelling this. oh, i drank a bunch but never really thought about it much. Smellz sooo good... vanilla, lights, nuts, mellow roast, choco, salt - stupid Kyle nailed it with the Ritz pickup. His face is awful but his nose is golden. coconut, faint alcohoiclynessishre fumes, sweet cinamon. k, im pretty tipsy so fuck the text correctiopns. cannot nail down the fruit but thers just a bit. wonderful smells. reminding me of theese stellar beers from the states that people will throw their kids down elevator shafts for. The taste is insane. holds up with ease against the US giants. smooth and slick, thick, alc wisps, vanilla, choco mild, sort of roast, my cat loves me, fullmouth, more coconut.. why i do not know. i did have a coconut chocolate brownie today. good thing i didnt have an jaundice toenail jager cocktail. brown sugar, light burnt thing, oats, liquort, greatness. i got hot curry ichiban wtih green onions waiting.soo good.. this beer is great

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Well, I gave up my usual trip to Winnipeg to go to Pliny the Younger Day, and DAMMIT DAVE WHY DID YOU MAKE ME REGRET THAT!?!?!?!?! Seriously - Vinnie Cilurzo came and sat with us, picked up our tab, and hung out for two hours, AND YOU CAME OUT WITH THE BEST BEER YOU’VE EVER MADE. Honestly, this is better than Bourbn County - there is more cocoa power, more coffee, and a prettier bourbon note - I really, really love this. In ten years I’ll have to have this side-by-side with batch #1 & #2 $ellout... Pours black, viscous, and lovely - thin dark tan head - decent lacing. Nose is wonderfully bourbony - vanilla, coconut, mocha, biscuits, Ritz crackers, really the perfect amount of bourbon... Flavours are surprisingly well integrated and delicate - French vanilla, bourbon, toast, marmite, big mocha, seriously sticky milk chocolate... Dear Jesus I really love this. Absolutely world class!

Bottle - Sticky molasses, vanilla, bitter chocolate and bourbon. Jet black and minimal brown head. Brown sugar, vanilla, chocolate ...... So much is going on I don’t care to write just drink. This is no Dark Lord but for the price it is a killer. If you can get it buy it, I am going now to wipe out my local store stock.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle which lists an ABV of 9.6% pours jet black with a finger and a half of creamy mocha head which leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is pleasing with bourbon and chocolate and hints of alcohol. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a bit of alcohol burn and a bold resin hop bitterness in the finish. A very well balanced and flavorful Imperial Stout that is highly recommended. Definitely ranks up there with the best of the barrel aged stouts.
