COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To admit that the brewer at Half Pints is a bit of a hophead is an understatement. This India Pale Ale is unabashedly hoppy, not only from the Amarillo hops we add to the brew kettle, but also from the northwest U.S. variety called Cascade that we add directly to the final tank. A firm toasted malt presence forms the background for all of these hops, and we're confident our Little Scrapper IPA could take other so-called IPA's to the mat if called upon to do so. Try it with a curry or a basket of beer battered fish & chips. Serve in a glass at 8 degrees celcius. Unpasturized.

Clear dark golden with a big head on it. Lots of floral hops, with some citrus as well. Very easy drinking IPA. Quite sessionable.

[bottle] Weak aroma that is sweet and has some banana and malt. Hazy yellow copper with a ton of foam (probably over carbonated or infected). Sweet and slightly sour flavour of base malt with some ethanol and assertive hops bitterness. Only detectable hops (IPA?). Light to medium body, high carbonation, slightly bitter, worty finish.

spruce and citrus hops abound in on the nose and on the palate in this satisfying Manitoba IPA. another solid addition to the half pints line-up.

On tap. It is a nice one, not too bitter, noticeable malt backbone, slight tartness. Pretty good.

Wonderful for a basic IPA. Very few in it’s class can match this beer for quality, consistency and hoppiness. Flavour is hoppy with hints of citrus and floral overtones. Nice smooth finish. Medium carbonation and IBU (50).

341ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head and some decent lacing. Aroma is citrus and earthy hops. Big bold hoppy bitterness and an underlying malty sweetness compliments these hops nicely. Medium body and modest carbonation. This is quite a fine IPA.

Nice golden pour with fluffy white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit and hops. Taste is pretty much the same with huge hop bitterness lingering. A pleasant surprise on how good this was.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2011 Very good. Nice strong hops flavour. Not quite as good as the Humulous Ludicrous, but a good beer nonetheless.
