4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Cirrhosis (1074) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 10, 2009
"Dam fine looking brew for the style this is the best I’ve seen so far. Body appears slightly hazy and is a warm honey brown color, a quarter inch thick creamy cap sits on top and is leaving behind tons of lacing and the retention is great the head lasted the entire brew. Aroma is pleasant a touch on the mild side though, mild hops that come across citrusy and are combing very nicely with some smooth lightly roasted malts. I detecting some sourness in the aroma on deep inhales but is hardly noticeable. Phenomenal flavor malty smooth bready toastedness combined with a wonderful hop presence, this is just plain old yummy. I swear I’m tasting rice crispy squares. Beer feels medium bodied and leaves behind a mild sweet after taste. I can’t believe how good this beer is the malts are just so full and rich, and finally a Canadian brewer who isn’t scared to make a beer that actually has a hop flavor in it. I’m blown away by how good the beer is I’ve managed to drink the entire 660ml bottle in a few minutes I want more but it’s a 14 hour drive away dam it."

Bottle courtesy of Piscator 34: Poured a deep golden color pils with a nice medium foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of crisp hops and floral malt is quite sublime. Taste is a well balance mix between some floral malt and some light dry (maybe a tad too dry) crisp hops which provides a very refreshing taste. Body is quite full for the style with some good carbonation and nice creamy texture. Very well done and something that I would love to have more often in the summertime.

Bottle. Aroma of fresh-squeezed lemon, honey, fresh bread. Flavor moderately bitter with drying herbal hop notes, pretty dry overall with a strong bready character. Pretty much everything you’d want in a pils.

341ml bottle.
Pours a hazy brown amber with a medium sized creamy head. Nice floral, soapy, hoppy aroma. Lightly sweet and medium bodied with a good hop bitter, and slightly dry finish. Great beer, as expected.

Bottle thanks to DalzAle. Pours a slightly hazy dirty light orange with a small white head. Aroma of light fruits, melon rind, crisp pale malts, honey. Flavor is initially rather sweet - honey, sweet malt, floral hops, light fruits, light citrus hops, tons of herbal notes - with a toasted pale malt and bitter finish. Very nice pilsener with lots of complex flavors. Much more interesting than your average pilsener. Well done!

A full flavoured pilsner with a nice flavour but not too strong tasting and theres not too much alcohal taste either. Not as much hops as a pilsner urquell but a lot thicker and more robust from the malt.

Bottle via trade with piscator34. Lovely golden colour with a nice haziness and a generous white head. Mmmm, love the aroma - biscuity malt, herbal hops, a hint of yeast. Flavour follows closely, with a taste that’s big and balanced, and a long, dry finish. Yeah, this is good.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 oakbluff (395) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 21, 2008
Sample from 12 ounce bottle- dark golden amber, good clarity, fluffy white one finger head and soay lacing. Nose- spicy hops, citrus and grass. taste- rather thick bready/doughy malts cut with saaz hops. Medium to heavy body initally which thins out with a fairly dry and grainy finish. Carbonation is moderate and drinkability is good, perhaps tad heavy.
