Bomber- last bottle on hand. Sampled early July so aged about 5 months. Poured out into a Stone shake with a crazy eight finger head. Snow white, sparkling head with dish soap lacing. Sweet citrus and pepper nose. Taste- pears, apples, slightly herbal and bitter with a balances sweetness at same time. Carbonation not as lively as the massive head would suggest but still adequate. Very refeshing on a hot Manitoba July day. glad I saved a bottle. I do hope HP makes this again next year.

Thanks to Steve for the bottle. Pours a light gold with a thick fluffy head. Clove, bubble gum, light hops and citrus aroma. Light malt with a funky Belgian yeast in the taste. Good saison.

Bottle. Pours a near clear gold with a white heads that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a decent amount of flora with some sweet grains and a bit of Belgian yeast. Flavor combines sweet grain, light fruit and light flora with a touch of Belgian yeast.

(1412-180415)

Bottle trade with cards04. Thanks Steve! Orange with a thick haze and a foamy head that dissipates to a thin film. Aroma has a combination of citrus, malt, and tobacco. Pepper spice on the palate and the finish.

ENG: 650ml bottle from Liquor Mart Winnipeg, poured into the tulip. Orange, opaque color with medium, tan head and some lacing. Aromas of cloves in front, then bananas, spices, with hints of sweety grapefruit and other citrus. Tastes sweety, like champagne but without that characteristic booze, lemon, cloves, cereals, pepper. A little bit medium-dry finish. Sweety, clovy bitter aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall palate isn’t too complex, it’s delicate and more balanced (and very drinkable!), but it’s a still interesting beer.

PL: Butelka 650ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do kieliszka. Barwa pomarańczowa, delikatnie opalizująca, średnia, jasna piana i nieco lejsingu.

Bottle (650 ml). From Andrew, thanks! Hazy golden/orange with a frothy white head and good lacing. Aroma is yeasty with citrus, cereals, moderate spiciness and earthy presence. Taste is slightly fruity with citrus, some spiciness, earthy notes, cereals and light alcohol. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Light lingering spiciness. Good Saison. Interesting balance. Easily drinkable, quenching. Nothing outstanding, but well executed.

Poured a dark golden with a large white foamy head. Very well carbonated, very effervescent. Nice aroma’s upfront. Some peppery notes, barnyard notes, some lemon grass as well. As it warms, more banana and slight clove notes emerge. Lemony citrus notes as well. Taste is similar. Some hop bitterness and spice on the back end. Very effervescent, but a bit heavy at times. Would have enjoyed a bit brighter beer. Still solid.

Bottle. Cloudy peach pour with a large white head. Aroma of soft fruits, bread and yeast, and some light spicy notes. Flavour is fruity, apricot and soft citrus, with wheat, yeast, subtle hops and a bit of spice. A little tart, and a little metallic. Could have used a little more sweetness in my opinion, but still great.
