Bottle (650 ml). Thanks to northropfrye! Golden/amber with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is smoke forward, wood and smoked meat. Taste is less intensely smoked, but that’s still the dominant component. There’s also some wooden notes and a slight caramel presence. Medium body. Not very complex and pretty smoked forward. Balance could be better, but it’s still drinkable. Ok/good Smoked.

[4609-20120708] 650mL bottle. Woody muted smoked meat aroma. Hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Smoky wood leaf flavour. Medium body. Flavour has surprisingly less smoke than anticipated from the aroma. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

Cask Days 2012. Light brown pour, off white head. big aroma of smoke, wood, bacon, and some light soy. reminds me alot of a campfire. solid mouthfeel, low carb. Finish is again very smoky, this really lives up to the name. i would really put it up there with some of the better rauchbiers.

On cask at Toronto’s Cask Days festival. Pours dark with good amount of head. Smoke aroma is inviting and comes through well in the taste along with some lighter flavouring or spices.

65 cl bottle, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Hazy dark amber, tight foam head. Sweet aroma, slight resin and bread mixed with a mild cheesey smoke. Tastes sweet then hits with an oaky spruce resin. Some vanilla and green veg on the finish.

2012-07-08. Lightly hazy bright orange body with a small beige head. Smokey aroma, beechwood? lightly ashen. 6+ Flavour is less intensely smokey up front, lightly bitter, muted malt. Modest but pervasive smoke character is surprisingly mild compared to the aroma. Average plus bodied palate. Okay, bit simplistic and not to my own tastes. 6+ Bottle shared by liamt07

Radekfest 2012 – bottle 650ml
Aroma bold , very smoky front. Clean phenolic character. Solid rauch feel.7+
Appearance hazed amber with lighter off white top. 3-
Flavor and Palate : frontal smoky approach with mineral body. Carbonation level proper to style. Very drinkable even that gets bit thin at finish.

In short: A basic clean golden ale with medium smoke presence. Ok
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh approximately 2 months after the beer release. Bottle sent to me by oakbluff, thanks a lot Scott
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by beige ring of foam
In long: Nose is moderately smoked with a smoke character that is reminiscent of sitting around a beach wood fire. Taste has oily toasted malts, a bit of caramel, smoked wood. Very easy to drink. This is a very clean and crisp smoked, a bit too clean even. I like smoke beers but some of them give me a terrible headache, usually the 11th or 12th one.

Bottle thanks to Savvy1982! Clear medium orange colored pour and a lasting 1/4 inch head with a nice bacony/campfire smoke aroma. Flavor is light and smoky without feeling like your sucking on a campfire log, some sweet honey sweetness with balances well with the smoke and finishes very light. Outstanding, really enjoyed this one!
