4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer has a fantastic coffee aroma, with some sweet malty notes. Itís a dark black beer with a long lasting light brown head. Coffee is the central flavor, while the finish is rather light. This is a rather light bodied stout which is in my opinion the largest shortcoming of this beer. Itís one of my favorite stouts.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma like fresh dripped coffee. Minimal head. Rich coffee colour with slight brown hue when held up to light. A bit too thin in texture. Most notable taste (obviously) is of brewed coffee. Bitterness of the coffee lingers on the tongue long after the fleeting aftertaste is gone. Would love to start my day with one of these..every day.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours black with a decent tan coloured head. The aroma is sweet, roasty, yeasty, and has a distinct aroma of coffee. The flavor is quite chocolaty, and roasty, with hints of plum, ash, and roasted barley. Decent very drinkable stout.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours very dark brown, almost black with a ridiculous monstrosity of a head. Has a boozy, bitter chocolate and old stale coffee aroma. Tastes quite bitter, and of dark unsweetend bakers chocolate, and more stale coffee. Simple and uninspired, this is about as basic a coffee stout as you can get. I actually find it almost unpleasant to drink. Seeing as how it gets such high ratings i may have just got an off bottle, iím going to have to try this again, but if its not an off bottle thereís no way iím paying for it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Inky/iodine aroma, roast coffee, alcohol and lots of malt, black, pours a small cappuccino head. Flavour is a full on coffee, folllowed up by plenty of rich malt. Medium bodied, well balanced, rich texture quite bitter. Great offering!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ Bar Volo: Beware! I ordered Half Pints Stout and got a half pint of their draught stout. Pays to order by pointing I guess. This one pours very deep brown, some ruby edging, and a nice tan head. Aroma is all roasted malts, espresso, little bit of milk chocolate sweetness in there. The roast keeps coming in the flavour, mild bittering hops and that nice sweet chocolate. The one drawback is the beer has almost no body to speak of, itís extremely thin. All told, though, another nice domestic Canadian brew!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours inky/oily black with a medium tan head with nice lacing. Nose is big and roasty, coffee and hops come through as well. Palate is nice and thick, creamy and not at all metallic. Flavors of coffee, roast malt, mild bittering hops. Beautifully balanced, but not the most expressive coffee stout Iíve had (itís no Speedway or Peche Mortel). Good, but it doesnít quite stir the soul.
