Our Stir Stick Stout is robust with ruby highlights and a generous addition of fresh ground, locally roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee. The beans lend a distinct chocolate aroma that blends well with the roasted barley and malty sweetness. A woody bitterness from the Fuggles hop variety rounds out this ale and makes it the perfect match for barbequed buffalo burgers or sweet desserts like chocolate lava cake. Serve in a glass at 8 degrees celcius. Unpasturised.

Not a lot going on here. It’s not a terrible tasting beer by any means, but I’d rather sip on something bolder, heavier and flavourful... something more "stout".

pours clear dark brown with a very nice dark crema offering a good retention and some lacing traces. fresh coffee beans, burnt hazelnuts, chewy chocolate - never too sweet, but also a nice red fruity profile, lot of Pepper, some woodsy lightly tannic notes, resin. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, dry and bold resinous-bitter coffee finish. pretty solid coffee stout.

Beer pours a dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma is bitter coffee and some borderline bitter chocolate/sweet chocolate. There is also a roasted barley note. The taste is nice. Bitter coffee, bittersweet chocolate, roast and a bitter finish. Leaves a nice sticky residue on the lips. Nice body for being a 5.6% ABV. A nice sessionable coffee stout that is slightly reminiscent of The Poet by New Holland. Thanks again to Cards04 for this one!

Light brown with minimal head. Aroma is musk, dirt, wood, grain. Thin on the palate, short finish. Taste is watery soy sauce, grains, cheap chocolate. What the hell were they stirring with this stick?

341 ml bottle. Darkest brown with a slight cola hue and a fading mocha head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Light roast chocolate malt taste, somewhat thin and watery. Soft carbonation, lighter bodied, low hopped. Goes down easy but still: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 hints of chocolate and coffee, OK head, quite crisp on the tongue, layers of flavour including a hint of burnt carmel, don’t drink cold (just slightly cool), a touch hot for stout, tough to beat if you like a good stout
