Pour out of 22 oz bottle, clear red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, toast into some dark caramel, slight earth, yeast, very spicy notes, some very slight fruity notes but not much. Taste is sweet caramel, toffee, slight bitter yeast, spice and grassy notes, hints of toasted malt, finishing bitter, dry.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is more of an amber ale than a farmhouse. There isnít much funk, but its a well balanced ale dominated by the malts which give it a nutty, caramel flavor.

@ South Denver Beer Fest 2013. Clear brilliant amber, no head. Very little aroma of barn funky crystal malts and earthy hops. Flavor is initially earthy and biter, with a touch of earthy light caramel to follow. Pretty ímehí

I have to say itís delicious! I think itís the best tasting beer Iíve ever had.
Itís very smooth and seems maybe a little sweet, which offsets the alcohol. Absolutely delicious!
At 52 years old, Iím not new to beer. I had my first Schlitz in 1972.
My wife, who doesnít like beer very much, agrees with me.
