Light bodied Pilsner, displaying slight fruity aromas (apricots come to mind), accented by refreshing citrusy highlights. The finish shows elegant, lingering bitterness. Far from complex, but pleasing.

(Draught at Schwarzwaldstube, Berlin, 24 July 2010) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Crisp, malty nose with notes of grain, grass, bread and hints of tropical fruit. Malty taste with grass, bread, tropical fruit and a well balanced, grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, a touch of sweetness. Crisp, clean and tasty.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond fluffy head. Moderately sweet and subtle grainy malty aroma with lemon-fruity and slightly flowery and herbal hops. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Mildly malty and subtle fruity taste with herbal accents; moderately dry and bitter-sweet finish with present herbal and slightly flowery aroma hops. Pretty good. 01.VI.10

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass looks good, very zippy, nice head. The beer tastes very spicy, only modest hoppy. Good beer!

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2011 Rerate from bottle: I get far more aromatic hops this time around, a stable white lace, good balance and a elegant sparkly mouthfeel - very nice. Old rating 6 2 7 2 12 Bottle. Pale golden, lowish foamy head. Metallic bittering hop aroma. Lightbodied, sparkly. Light metallic aromatic Spalt and Hallertau hops, grassy aftertaste. Good thirstquencher.

Bottle: Pale golden coloured, almost creamy off-wite head, stable and lacing; sweet malty, a bit cardboardy aroma with a faint, but distinctive aromatic hoppiness; bitter-sweetish flavour, quite light bodied, soft MF; shorter, aromatic hoppy finish with a touch of honey and sweet malt. A bit thin, but a decent and aromatic Pils, though........
