500ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier, viel CO2, viel Schaum. Geruch hefig, leicht malzig fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, fruchtig, im Abgang leicht würzig.

Pale yellow body, with slightly cloudy haze, medium white head. Aromas are some fruits, malts, and wheat, some dough. Palate is medium soft, a bit bit thin but mouthful. Taste is mild, some wheat and malts. Finish is short and mild. Some fruity notes are present. Overall typical Kristall Weizen, most of the flavour are gone and tastes as mild Märzen with slightly thicker body and wheat tastes. Still good and quaffable, tough.

Pours clear golden with a high head and aroma is just malts. There’s a small hint of banana in the flavor, but otherwise that’s just malts too.

Grima (2089) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 5, 2012
Crystal clear and golden yellow. Much CO2 rises, it is very pearly. The smell is fruity, hoppy, very fresh. Starts also very fresh and fruity, with good hops in the background. The finish is something more yeasty and slightly grainy, but the entire rest of the course to the finish remains dominant fruity. Surprisingly good Kristallweizen

Golden with a rocky head. The aroma is vague fruitiness with appley notes. Dry, fizzy and then it gets cloying sweet. Lots of banana late. Clean.

Bottle: Clear, pale golden to golden, stable beaten-egg-white-like head; moderate sweetish citrussy-wheaty nose with some cloves underneath; light sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft; slightly lingering wheaty fruity (with cloves) and also delicate hoppy finish. Quite pleasant Champagner-Weizen......

Bottle. Golden, white lacing head. Banana, clove. White bread, orangepeel, Apple aftertaste. Has retained more weissbier character than most other other Kristall I have tried. Sparkly chewy body.

Bottle: Yellow color, small creamy head. Intensive aroma of ripe banana. Flavor is also quite fruity with intensive notes of banana and wheat. Light dry finish. Pleasant Kristall with very nice intensive banana notes. Bit short end.

MoritzF (8464) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 24, 2010
(bottle, nowadays just HL Kristall Weizen, the old “Haalgeist” labelling is obviously obsolete) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a big foamy white head. Slightly sweet and sourish fruity nose with a touch of citrus, cobwebs and Muscat. Slightly sweet and quite sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a rather calm carbonation. Moderately wheaty, citrus-fruity taste with shy herbal and tart notes; moderately sour wheaty and mildly tart finish. 24.V.10

Bottle. Wheat malt and lemon aroma. Clear golden yellow with moderate head that fades quickly. Sour wheat malt flavor with a hint of lemon. Slight metallic finish. Bland but pretty typical of the style.
