3.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2012
International Green Week, Berlin 2012: our second day and Hall 20 is full of goodies, products from Niederschen, Bremen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Thuringen, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz all competing with each other. This brewery had a lovely bar area and my wife and I found a tall table to lean against while tasting this Pilsner and then their Mohrenkopfle brew.
Draught 0.3 litre glass of a pale golden Pilsner, on top a white crown: good looking beer, clean and clear, like all good Pilsners/Lagers/Helle.
The regular non-smell of a Pilsner; gets my usual score of 3 for an odourless beer.
Malt front, without any sweetness, crisp hop bitterness soon follows, I liked this, a little sweeter than most beers of this style yet still having the refreshing sharpness required.
Easy to drink and because I enjoyed it so much I had another beer of theirs, as mentioned above.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nekronos (2655) - Xalapa, MEXICO - MAR 19, 2011
Disturbing the fact a lot of breweries has the Löbenbraü thing on it. It was nice not so graspy but a little excesive after a while.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2010
(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly doughy and dusty pale malty aroma with shy notes of grassy hops. Moderately sweet and light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Slightly doughy pale malt-character with traces of grains and grassy hops; rather dry, slightly fizzy and shy hoppy finish with a low level of bitterness and grainy notes in the aftertaste. A boring Pilsener, which actually tastes more like a Helles. 15.V.10

[bottle]
Hay and green apple aroma that seems a bit bitter. Yellow-straw with some white wisps and ring. Bitter flavour with some ethanol, both of which are not carried by enough malt flavour, but some is there. Crisp. Light body, moderate carbonation, moderately bitter finish, dry.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fine foam, fine aroma. Tastes spicy, a little bit sourish. Very drinkable - not bad!
