Hashigo Zake on tap
- Really rich, like an Imperial IPA - dubbel cross. Murky light brown, good lacing and head. Toffee and yeast nose with good hop esters. A bit sharp with carbonation but it is a nice twang, and full bodied without overdoing it. Sticky and rich almost toasty finish. Bitter and sweetish at the same time with a definite citrus undercurrent.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Double IPA aged in ex ’Porter Noir’ bret infected barrels. Lots of fruity, earthy almost dirty but sweet bret character - very similar to Orval. Lots of hop character but very balanced.
