Halleschelle is a great housebeer from picobrewery Alvinne, located in Ingelmunster. This beer is a command from Dominiek, one of the two owners of beerpub Pado at Tielt. Orange hazy aprearance with a great creamy longlasting head. It has bottle refermentation and in 8.5 vol% strong. Very coriander flavored, and this in "perfect" balance with the citirc hops that are used. Hence the very parfumy aroma.It’s a very dense beer with a muddy texture. it’s definite one of the best housebeers available here in Belgium !!!

Gedronken in De Pado te Tielt. Het oranjekleurig biertje met vaste schuimlaag heeft een kruidige korriander aroma. De smaak is licht bitter en citroenachtig. De biitterheid van de Alvinnebieren gaat ook hier mee tot bij de nasmaak. Zeer goed en smaakvol degustatiebier

(Bottled) Muddy brown color with a medium, very lasting head. Aroma of roasted malt, figs and lots of berries. Very fruity, sweetish berry flavor with quite evident, bitter hopping and a long, spicy, caramel-malty finish. Medium to full-bodied, slightly syrupy palate with hints of alcohol and low carbonation. A very enjoyable, strong and balanced dessert ale with some scotch ale character.

Bottle, 33 cl. Deep hazy amber in color, with a medium, very lasting head. Aroma: roasted malt. Very fruity, sweet flavor with bitter hopping and a long, spicy, caramel-malty finish. Medium body. Very enjoyable, strong and balanced ale.

Deep golden in colour with big white foam. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and slight nutty with hints of cereals. Smooth in the taste with notes of fruits and a slight edge of citrus.

bottle @ Bierjutterij festival, Oostende (BE). Pours a cloudy yellow to orange beer, solid white head. Smells very yeasty. A very strong bitter tastes with spices. Some hints of caramel. A very dry bitter and spicy aftertaste as well.

Bottle at ZBF Sint Niklaas, Belgium, 02-03-08 Some sourness on the nose but there’s actually a lot more maybe, will have to come back to the nose in a bit. Pours golden, in fact deep golden with white thin rim and with an almost oaky woodiness to the taste this really is quite an interesting beer. I return back to the nose and bingo it has noble rot on the aroma reminding me of a ’Royal Tokay’ if the taste was a good as the aroma we’d have had a 4+ beer on our hands, still it was very nice.

Bottle (Utobeer): Lovely spices and fruits in the nose. Cloudy orange with a large, lasting white head. Sweet, nutty start with some lovely citric notes. Spices (coriander, clove, etc) in the finish. Quite moreish and refreshing.

Sampled at RBSG 2006 grand tasting. light yellow with white head. hoppy aroma is floral with pepper and spices, like standing near hollyhocks on a summer day. flavor is refreshing, with a crisp finish.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Nice warm-amber color with fine orange glow and with yellow-beige head. Aroma is very spicy (corriander), flowers, Armagnac, nutmegg and sharp chutny. The taste is malty and has some barley-wine caracteristics. Also touch of Cognac, sweet spices, caramel, oxidized apple and a woody bitter accent. In the afthertaste a bit alcohol with some caramel-malts and a faint soury touch to end with.
Re-taste at the Pado this time in optimal condition
