COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Avaialable in 500ml bottles and occasionally on draught. This is a medium/sweet cider with a smooth, full bodied flavour and has a slight sparkle!
Hallets Real Cider is produced by hand at Blaengawney Farm using a blend of cider apples. Hallets Real is made using both the traditional fermentation method, plus the addition of juice fermented using a rarely applied method called Keeving. This produces a sweet rich juice, which is then blended with the traditionally fermented juice from other varieties to produce a unique cider which has its own subtle texture and taste. Once blended it is matured, then bottled and stored for a minimum of 3 months, which allows a natural conditioning to occur. Once we have sampled the finished cider (well someone has to do it!) and we are happy it is ready we then release it from the cider house for you to enjoy.

Classy and superb Cider with some apple and apple juice in the back, Starting off easy with less sweet background as expected and then hitting you with that forgotten sweetness you have missed. Good one with a bit of pineapples as an extra.

Bottle from my Summer Santa - many thanks! The cider pours out in a beautiful deep yellow-golden colour with smooth body. Nice aroma of mild ripe apples and light sugar. Taste of red rippe apples, some unripe greens, leaves and flowers. Mild, medium-sweet finish. Very refreshing and quaffable with being complex and gentle in taste. Great cider.

Cask conditioned handpump Hand In Hand Brighton 21/05/14. A golden coloured cider. On the sweet side. Nice apply notes. Friendly enough but noticeably a proper cider.

Bottled @ café derat, large sample. Clear yellow color, tiny bubbles, leaves teardrops along the glass like dessert wine. Aroma of dry apple, slight hint of wood, dust, cellar. Bit dry in taste, bit sweet. Quite clean. Very decent cider, could use a bit more complexity, but nicely balanced.

500ml bottle from Abergavenny Food Festival. A medium dry cider with a crisp tartness and fruity apple taste leading to a dusty dry finish. Lovely stuff.

Clear pale golden colour, white dissipating head. Aroma of apple, apple peel, light yeast, some dry white wine, bit reminding of steen (chenin blanc) wine. Light sweet apple flavour. Dry finish, apple, white wine. Nice and refreshing, easy drinkable.

Bottle: Served in a taster: No head, just some big bubbles that disappear quick. A cloudy yellow colored cider. Aroma is quite typical but not that sweet, a good fermented apple juice with some crispy tones as well as a light yeasty dusty touch and something light stone ish. The flavour is quite the same; crispy mix of fermented apple juice, some fresh sweetness but not too much and nicely balanced with a dusty stone touch and some smooth wood and hay ish tones... Aftertaste has some sweet apples, some crispy fermented apples, yeast and dusty earth tones. Low to medium carbo, sparkling but smooth mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a light creamy texture. Maybe a bit of a flat rating, but the aroma, flavours and aftertaste stay close together and make it an easy drinkable but good filled and tasty cider.
