(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly tart, fruity aroma. Medium body with a distinct tartness and some rustic and slightly skunky accents. A dry finish without much bitterness. Sort of a Saison or Bière de Garde in style. Not unexciting. But Villers and retired? I think not. This is a Haus der 131 Biere. I believe it calls for a Doggythedog investigation. 070906

Bottle. Orange-brown-copper with specs of murky yeast or something and a small white head. The aroma is liberally spiced but I don’t get much pumpkin - mostly rye and caramel and some sourness. Thin flavour - quite sweet and there isn’t really any pumpkin. I get some caramel in the finish but it’s faint and comes and goes. Strange. Tried this at Kulminator in Antwerp on May 16, 2006.

Terrible chemical waste aroma. Amber, low head. Flavor has a horrible metallic spiciness to it that drowns everything else. Scary in all the wrong ways.

Starts good, but goes quickly downhill: Big fresh hop nose that is fruity. Deep orange color and decent head. Tastes a little spicey, but with a wierd vinegary, sour taste. Bitter end. Pumpkin doesnt come through at all - not a good pumpkin ale.

Sweet hoppy aroma with an unnatural pumpkin smell. Orange-amber body, no head. Very hoppy flavor that leads to a long bitter aftertaste.

Blond ale; persistent head. Nice aroma, some hop and malt, quite fresh, light. Good body, good balance, some nice malt and quite good palate; sweet in the front, dryer in the end, yet not outstanding, but undoubtly pleasant.
