Røde Ran has great renewable light brown foam. There is not much carbonation, practically nothing but the beer is fresh and foam renewal perfect when the glass wobbled. The beer hangs thick in the glass and reveals a nice aroma of caramel and light floral notes. The taste reveals a rich malt profile with lots of caramel malt, fine hoppy aftertaste with a touch of spices. The bitterness is moderate, but good, soft and round. Despite its 6% taste the alcohol through as you sense a higher alcohol content than it actually is. It is not destructive to the beer, rather a fact which underlines the high quality. It is quite certain type of real and more classes than other similar red ales.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass amber coloured, small nice head. Starts strong, fine spicy. nice malty notes. Modest alcoholic. A saopy touch. Finish still intense spicy, also with some fruity hints. Quite drinkable. Nice!

100ml, tap at Ølfestival 2012, Tap 1, Carlsberg. Dark amber body with a reddish shade, slightly unclear. Earthy malts to the nose with notes of fruits. Malt-fruity taste with discreet notes of chocolate. Smooth bitter endnotes. Ok, however rather anonymous (Copenhagen, 10.05.2012).

Bottle from Fonefan, thanks! Reddish amber color. Red berries and toffee in the aroma. Thinnish. Very fruity flavor (red berries) with hints of citrus and toffee. Not very outspoken (understatement!) in hop character. But very drinkable.
