COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: En engelsk inspireret porter. Porteren er en kulsort øl med chokoladefarver skum. Kraftig duft og smagsnoter af mørk chokolade og hårdt ristet kaffe. Porteren er tilsat røget malt og god mængde humle, der giver en fin kompleksitet.

Rating #326, sample from Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010

Amazing porter from a brewery I had never before heard of, and they apparently almost only distribute the beer locally. The beer was pitch black with a yellowish medium high head. Aroma has everything I want in a porter - liqourice, coffee, smoke, tar, and old rope. Flavor was very likewise just more complex, maybe with some dark chocolate added to it. Finish was solid bitter, and palate thick and creamy. A very good porter in the same class and taste-style as the beloved and classic "Limfjordsporter" - maybe even a little better! Fantastic.

Appears very dark with a +3 finger light brown head which disappear slowly. Aroma pleasant with notes of dark berries, coffee and sweetness from malts. Taste is liquorice, coffee, smoked malt and little spicy. very well balanced beer with nice bitterness from hops and roasted malts. I enjoy this baltic porter much! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Very dark brown with a small, creamy head. Nice chocolate aroma, moderate roast. Bitter chocolate flavours, some acidity, nicely balanced. Full-bodied. A great beer.

A fruity smelling, nice foam, dark beer of the porter type. The beer is like the fishermans goodlooking daughter. Sweet fruity and with a taste of licorice with a small peppermint overtone. Down to earth but too refined for working in a harbor. A nice beer for nice homes and relaxed company. Even for your own company, dvelling in introvert reflections.

Bottled. Very dark brown beer with a creamy and lacy head. The aroma is rich in bready maltiness with soft and chocolatey roastedness and a hint of smoke. Starts sweetish but dries as the bitterness increases in the finish. Dark ripes, a hint of yeasty spiciness and some molasses in the finish. Medium to full bodied, silky texture. Very nice porter.

(Bottled, sampled 2010-04-02) Almost black with a large, firm and beige head. Very licoricey nose with sweetish maltiness, some chocolate, and even oakiness. Roasty, slightly burned-charcoaly flavor with sourish maltiness balanced with hefty sweetness. Not much bitterness found underneath all this. Quite full body with soft and low carbonation. This could be a delicious licorice bomb à la Nekron Stout - but it’s not quite balanced enough. Still very good.
