COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle at home, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clear bond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: cheesy, alcohol. TASTE: cheesy, alchohol, bad in all ways...

Good, if shortlived cream-coloured head over hazy, pale-ish orange beer. Creamy, spicy nose, white candi sugar, coriander, lemoncookies. Bitterish-spicy, oxydized, coriander. Not exactly inviting. Medium bodied, slick, oxydation. Really inferior.

Huge, dense, off-white head over darker, clear-golden beer, heavily carbonated. Grainy, faint spicy and vegetable nose, bit milky and white candi sugar. More bitter, toasted flaovur, again spicy as with curaçoa peel, some coriander, and toasted malts. Caramel and candi sugar touches, alcohol in the finish. Quite spritzy, little restsugars, very carbonated. Aftertaste has some green leaves, certainly warming up, and becomes more sweet all the same. Huyghe Tripel indeed. BTW, why do the Dutch spell Tripel always in French?

Een lastig te definiëren smaakontwikkeling in de mond, beginnend met zachtbitter en overlopend in karamel zoet

Tripel from a local brewery in Hulst, located in a part of the Netherlands which once belonged to Flanders. Light yellowish white, irregular, sticky, stable head, colour deep ’old gold’, clear. Aroma fruity and fresh, pineapple, orange, lemon zest, spicy hops, coriander, blue cheese (infection?). Fruity taste, sweetish pale malts but not really sweet, mild hoppy, spicy finish but unfortunately a lot of badly hidden, wry alcohol as well.

Just another Belgian tripel. There are hundred’s of these, but somehow almost every brewer makes one of these.

Pours an orange beer with a good white head. Smells fruity, yeast and metal. Tastes pretty sweet, malts and licorice. Average carbo, medium body and a watery/sticky texture.

Een triple uit Hulst, van een kleine brouwerij. Smaakt niet echt naar een klassieke Triple, maar is goed te drinken. Vooral de afdronk is interessant.

bottle, thank you Bierkoning! Hazy golden, intensively malty and fruity, shy hoppy finish.

Hazy darker yellow with lots of yeast parts floating. Darker white foam head. Aroma is yeast and fruity. Taste is bitter but spoiled by the surplus of yeast. (Velp 201206) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 15 July 2011) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with apricots, citrus and spicy hints of coriander. Fruity taste with notes of apricots, peaches, citrus, tropical fruit and a mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Quite nice.
