(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 15 July 2011) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with apricots, citrus and spicy hints of coriander. Fruity taste with notes of apricots, peaches, citrus, tropical fruit and a mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Quite nice.

Pretty nice triple, but also not above average. It’s a nice brew anyway. Decent.

JorisPPattyn (6746) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 7, 2011
Huge, dense, off-white head over darker, clear-golden beer, heavily carbonated. Grainy, faint spicy and vegetable nose, bit milky and white candi sugar. More bitter, toasted flaovur, again spicy as with curaçoa peel, some coriander, and toasted malts. Caramel and candi sugar touches, alcohol in the finish. Quite spritzy, little restsugars, very carbonated. Aftertaste has some green leaves, certainly warming up, and becomes more sweet all the same. Huyghe Tripel indeed. BTW, why do the Dutch spell Tripel always in French?

Vaiz (2037) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 8, 2011
Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, thin creamy white head. Aroma of spices and sugary malts, some pepper and slightly boozy. Flavor is slightly sweet, quite spicy, some bitter and only a tiny bit chemical. Nice balance though. Lively carbonation and a nice lingering bitter spicyness. Decent brew.

tderoeck (1598) - Gent, BELGIUM - OCT 19, 2010
12/10/2010 30cl bottle @ home

Pours a clear yellow to orange beer, big orange chunks floating around in the glass. White creamy head (they lost one point for the clearness, and one for the chunks). Aroma has hops, malt, straw and lots of icky yeast. Lots of carbonisation in the glass. MF is ok, thin body. Taste holds sugar, some hop bitter and citrus fruits, but all very faint. Aftertaste has some hop bitter and a little acidic, but is practically immediately gone. Really bad stuff...

Abio (1136) - Waasland, BELGIUM - FEB 25, 2010
Bottle. Yellow, a bit to orange color. White foam, big enough head, but don’t hold very long. Sour citrus fruit smell. Taste pretty good fruity, good aftertaste, not to bitter. Drinkeable, and a little surprise, was expecting way less since i just tasted "lazarus" before this one.

fonefan (25125) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 12, 2008
Bottle 30cl @ home.
Clear medium yellow orange color with some medium size particles, with a large, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, moderate ginger, some soap notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (040608)
