| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2004 Orang-amber, very slight haze; heavily carbonated to orange tinted, dense head, some little lace. Very much cookie malt, and orange zeste, fruity and faint peppery. Sweet and fruity taste, alcoholic - much more than 6.5% ABV would lead one to expect - even liqueurish. Again spicey, but I cannot identify vanilla. OTOH, honey is quite plausible, albeit more outfermented than usual with honeybeers. Medium bodied, alcoholburn, dry in the finish. Honey flavour finally emerges warming up, at the end of the bottle. Only the MF gives away that this is not really a big beer. It has some characteristics of one, all the same. caesar (3036), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
