An unclear dark orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel as well as hints of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, while the mouthfeel is flat.

(Bottle 30 cl) Beautiful golden amber, creamy off-white head leaving a fine lacework. Typical spicy, yeasty ale-nose. Pronounced yeastiness in the flavours also, with dry caramel notes. Rather light body and some alcohol in the finish. Spiced with honey and vanilla. Excellent. 200705

Bottle at Arends Nest. Hazy amber beer, good off white head. Nice creamy vanilla nose. Softish dry palate. A little mildy sweet vanilla malt. Not really getting any specific honey, just an overall sweeteness. Soft and dry finish. Decent enough if somewhat over dry.

Bottle, 6.5%. Hazy chestnut colour, tiny floaties and a small head. The flavour is subtle, malt and pepper. A little sour. Not very interesting.

Just a hint of vinegar sourness. Vanilla and apple in the flavor.

Orang-amber, very slight haze; heavily carbonated to orange tinted, dense head, some little lace. Very much cookie malt, and orange zeste, fruity and faint peppery. Sweet and fruity taste, alcoholic - much more than 6.5% ABV would lead one to expect - even liqueurish. Again spicey, but I cannot identify vanilla. OTOH, honey is quite plausible, albeit more outfermented than usual with honeybeers. Medium bodied, alcoholburn, dry in the finish. Honey flavour finally emerges warming up, at the end of the bottle. Only the MF gives away that this is not really a big beer. It has some characteristics of one, all the same.

Benzai (7287) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 20, 2011
Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Decent beer though not much to tell about it. Copper color, low carbo and body. Nothing really special, nothing really wrong, just decent.
