I love the use of rye in beers. Good example here, quite sticky and a little too much sourness and sweetness, but it’s pretty good. Problematic in that it doesn’t really drink like an 8 percenter.
From Van Erp in Groningen.

30cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear brown colour with a red hue, off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, sweet, rye, metal, light spicy. Flavour is sweet, metallic, light malty, rye, light fruity, bit of chocolate, light spices. Light bodied. Too metallic, and definitely overcarbonated.

Bottle. Dark ruby red/brownish pour with a good white head. Hints of bread, caramel, sweet notes and spices. Better taste than expected. Not to sweet with some caramel, syrup, some liquorice hints and malts. Decent finish. Not bad for a Dunkler Bock.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Vaiz (2037) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2010
Bottle from a local shop in Middelburg. Simple brew, aroma is slightly spicy, bread and with some sugar. Flavor is watery and with some rye and sugary malts. Quite watery texture yet with decent carbonation. Slightly boring, but further an ok brew.
