Bottle: Cold filtered; and Cask: Unfiltered.
Gluten & Wheat Free Ale.
Ingredients: Yorkshire water, Sorghum, Malted Barely, Brewing sugars, Hops.
A tawny beer with aromas of Cascade, Liberty and Challenger hops and specially prepared dark sugars provide full bodied initial sweetness giving way to pronounced fruit and hop character with a strong citrus finish. Thanks to its formulation and a unique filtration method Hambleton Ales’ GFB delivers the full flavour and satisfaction expected from a British beer in a gluten and wheat-free formulation.

Clear medium amber color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lancing, fully diminishing, head. Aroma is moderate fruity sweet, heather honey, light to moderate vinous. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (170508)

An amber beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is very yeasty and spicy - should almost think it was Belgian. The flavor is very sweet - almost like candy, but with a nice acidity to it - something like a grapefruit caramel - if that exist. It also has a toffeeness to it, the mouthfeel is smooth, but it dies quickly on the palate.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with an off-white head. Mild citrusy hoppy aroma. Flavour is mild sweet citrus fruity. Very delicate hops flavour with a vague maltbase (obviously) but it seems in balance somehow. Mild sweet finish with a growing dry- and bitterness.

Cask Stillage at the Roundhouse, Barrow Hill 14/05/2011 Fruit aroma. Golden coloured smooth on the palate hoppy and fruity with a hint of bitterness in a dry malt finish.
