50cl bottle from BeerCity, batch 2731, BB 11/2012.

Bottle. Tastes much like a stronger version of their Yorkshire Bitter. Doughy, bready, lemony citrus, sulphur, fruit, alcohol, grassy. Thin white head, gold body. Bitter. Long dry finish.

A Mes rate: Cask in the Olde Market Tavern.
Blond with a white head and lace. A typical sweet golden English ale and very dull for it. Maybe a little too sweet but that really is all that stands out. Inoffensive but my god I’m bored.

Nice, but quickly disappearing head, that leaves a nice lace. The color is dark amber and the aroma is malty. The mouthfeel is dry and the flavour has a lot of roasted malt and citrus, that gives a nice bitterness. It’s like there is not room for other notes, but a bit of apple sneaks in. The finish is dry and a bit harsh. It’s both wild and quite tamed - so if you can accept both, this is a beer for you.
