pour from handfilled swiveltop save yeast left behind (and later consumed). aroma is nice spicy java leading to soil buried pine. appearance is dead opaque with great one finger head. flavor is black pepper spiciness then obscured pine. cocoa comes along but it perhaps an onslaught, though hops seem to win in the end. still leans more towards well hopped porter then black IPA. great beer either way.
