Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Black with cream head. Fruity porter with a coffee note in the background, roasted husk notes, some rusk too. Rounded and fruity sweet. Pretty decent.

Cask at Mytchett Beer Festival 2012. Pours a very dark brown colour with a thin tan head, the aroma has roasted malts some winter fruit, and a hint of coffee, the taste is light malts with a soft dry finish.

Cask - The Harp, London. Fine & creamy beige to light tan lasting head on an opaque dark brown body. Roasted malt, coffee & dark berries on the nose. Good dark fruit body with supplementary earthy coffee tones, a touch of smoke & a vague nuttiness beneath in the finish. Medium-ish body, soft & smooth on the palate with a decent length lingering finish. A pleasant, well conditioned juicy porter that took the December chill off.

Cask at The Bow Bar. Pours dark brown to black with thin tan head. Lots of roast and coffee/chocolate notes. Bitter and that. Pretty textbook.

Bottle. A heavy robust porter with lots of coffee and dark chocolate and charcole from the more and well roasted malts. A really memorable, rich porter.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2012 Cask at Twickenham beer festival. Black with brown hints, chocolate and a touch of tart fruit on nose, rich medium bodied with mocha and roast malt on palate. Very nice gentle Porter. Re-rate on cask at the Magpie in Brentford, as before but also a little roast coffee on the nose, and a dry faintly burnt-bitter finish. Excellent.

Fruit and hop aromas. Black a little rich on the palate and strong in alcohol with fruity orange and bubble gum flavours. A hint of dryness in a bitter burnt roast finish.

Pint at Hobgoblin in Reading. Dark as night with little head. Mild porter aroma, nice but takes a bit of getting used to. Easy to taste but a bit watery. Has the usual slight porter coffee chocolate aftertaste. Its a reasonable but ultimately average porter.

Cask at The Harp. Pours a deep brown/cola, with a small beige head. Roasted malt, light smoke, toffee, quite thick in the mouth. Enjoyed this one.
