Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Fest2013)
Sweet honeyish malts, a little fruity. A lovely rich orange and a light spongy persistent head. Watery palate. A bit earthy and watery, I even get an odd sourness. As dull as dishwater, definitely sub-par after the OK aroma.

Cask @ Gallows bird, real ale festival. Copper color, white head. Light smokey, toffeish aroma. Flavor quite the same, also almond like notes and biscuits. Dry, lasting biscuity finish. For this abv ,impressive.

(Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival ’13) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had toffee, malts and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, grass, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, harsh and bitter. An average bitter with nice aroma and a bit unpleasant aftertaste.

500ml brown bottle from Asda. Bottle conditioned. Opened with brown sludge in the neck. never had that before. Beer is not off, but neither is it in top condition. Malt is thin and dry. No carbonation to speak of. Some chocolate and black fruit notes. Just about drinkable, but something has gone wrong, so this is not the beer as it could be. Default score.

Cask @ The White Horse. Chestnut brown color with a wimpy white head. The nose is standard caramel, nuts, spun sugar. The taste is light strawberry, more caramel, semi-dry light hop finish. Light/medium body. Easy drinking. Overall, a decent, but boring bitter. Played straight.
