Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Underarm malt aroma. Malty taste with a disturbing element of plastic. Mid bitter finish. Though acceptable, this didn’t really appeal.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Golden colour with a thin off-white head leaving good lacing; straightforward hoppy aroma; light, but strong, hoppy flavour backed up by some sweet malts; dry finish with a touch of hay. An elegant ale.

Tiger bright orange with a nice white lace. Sweet, biscuity aromas. Sweet in the mouth with hints of salt. Oily texture. Toasted and crisp, not too bad.

Rune (5000) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 18, 2008
Hand pulled cask in pleasant surroundings at The Harbour Bar in Kirkcaldy. Nice laceworks on a half pint glass filled with a deep, copper-amber coloured brew that had got a malt-fruity profile, with a decent bitter support at the ending. Very dry in the mouth [08.11.2008].

Bottle from Bitter Virtue. Slight hop and malt noticeable. Unfortunately marred by background yeasty infection type flavours ( but not to the same extent as meteor).

A Mes rate: Cask at Chelmsford Beer Festival. Nice clean golden colour. Hoppy aroma let down by a little apple. Grapefruit and dusty citric hops in the flavour with a gentle bitter finish. Very drinkable.
