Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Gold with a thin off-white head; caramel malt aroma; sweet and fruity with plum and apple flavours; gentrly rounded English hop bitterness to finish. Refreshing and moreish.

500ml Bottle - Copper/amber with a slight haze. Fruity aroma with some tangy hoppy notes. Fruity taste with raisins and a slightly tart and musty element. The finish is fruity with moderate bitterness. Not bad, but I don’t think this is on top form. One to rate again.

1st Rate! Enjoyed this beer at the Wheatsheaf in Ewell. Nice drinkable session beer, with a good taste, not too strong on flavors but well balanced. Great colour, amber golden, perhaps.

Reddy orange, still bitter with a lovely white film. Apples and celery, fresh but weak aromas. Really fresh and fruity, rosy, chalky apples. Still and smooth with a fantastic dry, bittersweet toffee aftertaste. A tasty beer. Smooth, drinkable session. Knock it back with a ploughmans.

Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. Hazy copper, lots of raspberry flavour. Not a bad little bitter.

A Mes rate: cask at the Hop Farm festival.
Hazy golden brown with a thin white film. A little raw and appley on the nose with some slight peaty malt too. Sweet and fruity flavour with the peaty notes coming more to the front. Quite burnt and roasty. Interesting but not amazing. Appley finish brings back the roughness of the aroma.
