Pale Ale.
A refreshing pale ale with six different hops from the US and New Zealand giving a complex citrus aroma. The subtle sweet malt flavour balances the fresh bitterness.
Our friend the brewing legend that is JK (James Kemp) formerly Head Brewer of Buxton, Senior brewer for Thornbridge and Fullers helped develop the recipe for this our very first beer.

Bottle from Ales By Mail. Pours hazy deep golden with a big creamy white haed. Aroma is light sweet malty, with some fruity notes inbetween, citrus and flowery hops. Taste is crisp fruity and minty hops, supported by a weak malty sweet base, interesting and good take on the style.

A little flat and watery. Great smell which got me all excited but ultimately it failed to deliver anything in the flavour department. Bugger!

330ml bottle from Ales By Mail. Orange brown, good head. Resin hop aroma. Grapefruit cereal hop flavour. Very bitter citrus aftertaste. New brewery for me. Not bad. Quite a bitter pale ale.

Keg at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A slightly hazy pale amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, melon, caramel and pine. Taste of orange marmalade, passion fruit, melon, resin, grapefruit and caramel. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A bittersweet, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Quite dry back of the throat. A balanced, tropical fruit driven APA. Doesn’t stand out from others though. Decent.

330ml bottle, pours hazy, orange gold with a lasting white head and lace. Aroma is heavy hop, light malt, citrus aromas with grapefruit, mango and lemon, light bodied, texture slightly oily, finish is grainy, dry and light bitter, carbonation soft.

Keg (Craft, Islington) (5:3:5:3-:10=2.6-)
Stinky stanky aroma. Ditto taste. Palate full, but keggy, nearly slimy. Incredibly uninspiring hop-juice.

[York Beer Festival, 2014] - Hammerton Brewery N7, 5.2%, bernsteinfarben klar. Mittlere, luftige Krone. Fruchtiges Grapefruit Aroma, eher weich als beißend. Leichte Kräuter und Fichtennoten. Noch wässrig, mittlerer Körper. Minimale Kohlensäure. Antrunk fruchtig und floral. Deutliche Saftorangenkomponente, aber nicht zu süß. Leichte medizinische Note. Zur Mitte wird die etwas stärker, Fruchtkomponente bleibt erhalten, Hopfenbitterkeit tritt dazu, krautig hopfiges Finale. Etwas deutlicher bitter, Zitrus nurmehr in Spuren erhalten. Nachhall nur moderat bitter, aber lange anhaltend. Floralität noch vorhanden. Gutes IPA.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy golden coloured with a sweet tropical fruit flavour, orange and pine notes followed by a slight malty and tart fruity finish.
