A crystal clear pale golden yellow appearance, large foamy bright white head, active carbonation, settled into a soapy lacing. Looks like every other macro light beer on the market, no surprises. Mainly a clean nose, faint smells of corn and musty grains with traces of metallic sulphur. The expected light body, softly crisp and dry. Like most light lagers, dull as dishwater taste while also having an amiable drinkability. Bland tastes of corn and cereal, thin sweet pale malts, a subtle sour lemony flavor from the hops that are mostly biteless. Towards the dry finish some metallic flavors emerge as well. Consumed after a round of pre-Labor Day golf this afternoon, didnít exactly hit the spot, sort of refreshing in a mild way. A passable light beer, but one can was all I needed.

Hammís Light? I thought regular Hammís was light enough. It pours a clear yellow, slightly white head with a lot of carbonation. Head is absent even at 40 degrees. Watery grainy and grassy aroma. Hardly any taste. Maybe some cereal grain and metalic metal. I good lawn mower beer at 35 degrees.

Not good at all but better than original hamms which aint saying much. Watery as hell and not much flavor. For a decent hamms go for golden draft.

Light yellow colored body with a white head. The aroma is corny with some vomit and honey, The taste has light corn and cheap tobacco. There is also some light note of wood. An ok light lager.

From the land of sky-blue waters...comes this incredibly bad beer. This stuff canít even make the cut at a fraternity party. The two reasons I gave it a 0.7: (1) Its "light" so thereís less of the flavor of ass, and (2) its still better than Olympia.

To say this was a light yellow color would be a vast understatement. Pretty thick head. Aroma was slightly skunky grains. The taste was mellow to say the least. Very subdued silo flavor. Muddled corn and barley. There are certainly more swillish beers than this, but itís not great.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2005 Opening the hunting camp in the fall is a magical experience: the musty smell, the Hammís signs dusted with cobwebs, the brisk autumn air...The leaves crunch under my feet as my worries disappear in that Upper Michigan wilderness. An owl can be heard in the distance. Back at camp, the sauna and grill get lit, and a cooler of Hammís takes center stage. The sun goes down, and coyotes howl at the full moon. I climb into my down sleeping bag, gullet full of Hammís. I wake up and have Hammís and eggs for breakfast. The road hunt is on, with good cigars, hardroll sandwiches, Waylon Jennings on 8-track, and plenty of ice cold Hammís.
