This beer is in my catagory of piss in a bottle. It’s a great beer to by like 30 cases for less than twenty bucks, but you’ll be puking up piss for a week if you can stand to drink a case of this piss.

This was officially the worst beer I have ever had. Came in a can. It was cold and wet which were the only positive qualities. Honestly, I couldn’t even finish the can. I tried to let one of my friends drink it, but even my booze-hound friends wouldn’t drink it. This beer is singlehandedly the reason why my father hates beer. When he went to college in the 1960s in Wisconsin, this is what his friends drank. He thought all beer tasted like this. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

Miller is buying all of the top notch brews. If you pay more than $5 for a suitcase of Hamms you were robbed.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2005 Dad drinks the crap out this one. He used to work for the distibutor of Hamm’s and Oly. So there was a ton of it in the garage, ready to be pilfed. Good weeks were when a semi would wreck and Dad would call all his posse to go "clean up", since it was not sellable. Every time I go to visit him now, he immeadiately offers me one. I’m crappy enough of a son that I usually bring my own beer, though, I usually offer him a taste to let him see what real beer can taste like. I’m sure he says the same about me. High marks for he can get a 30 can case for under $10.

Hamms is one of the great old beers that should not be discontinued. i sell 10 cases a week and sold 5 half barrels in 12 days. I own the waterstreet pub in Peru Illinois and have been told we are the only ones in Illinois that have Hamms on draft. give that old beer a chance. Of the "cheap swill",this is my fav. it kinda holds a soft spot in my heart. Yes, its crap, but its "good" crap.

Can. Musty aroma with some grain present. Flavor is watery and grainy with an odd bitter finish that lingers. Not the worst beer in the world, but still pretty bad.
