I donít know if itís the frugal side of me that sees a little more appeal in this than a PBR, but I thought this was a standout as far as cheap beer goes. Not bad at all. Iíd have to have it side-by-side with PBR to know for sure, but itís pretty decent.

A pretty terrible beer all around. Corn, weird sweetness, nasty aftertaste. Just as bad as the big name macro crap.

My first experience with this was in the late 70s while I was in Panama. It was the cheapest beer around and all of the local San Blas Indian workers on base drank it. I tried it and hated the taste. It felt like drinking a can of yeast flavored water. Even ice cold it was intolerable to drink. I actually thought it was a local beer until I read the label. I didnít believe that something this bad was actually made in the US.

One of the better of the cheap beers. Malty and Pilsner malt flavored. Dry finish. Pours light yellow with a white head. Ha a can at timber lanes ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well I guess it scores high in bang for the buck. You can get a 30 pack of these for the same price as a three Floydís bomber in the store. Watery with a sweet macro lager finish. Actually more tolerable than the other macros.

"itís starting to get relly hard to differentiate between all these nasty pale lagers. This one was slighlty more bearable than some others. Not exactly a ringing endorsement."

In an airport heading to Germany during Oktoberfest and heading through Belgium on my way back home. What better beer to have to set my palet to shitty American lager? Done and done.

Typical cheap beer taste. Taste like a watered down bowl of sauerkraut with a hint of hops.

Can. I used to hate this stuff. My father-in-law used to leave some in the fridge when heís come here to do work I didnít ask him to do. At night Iíd drink it just to spite him. And whatta you know! I developed a taste for it. Aroma is metallic corn water. Pour is *slightly* darker yellow with a thick head that lasts a good long time and leaves a surprising amount of lacing on the glass. Flavor is slightly soury, but shockingly malty! Ample hops too. I paid $3.89 for a sixer of pints. For that price this is absolutely one of the best "cheap beers" out there. Iím not saying itís great, Iím saying adjusted for price itís a pretty good hoppy and malty brew for the money.

No retention and light lacing. Smells of corn and straw. Tastes of vegetable and corn. No aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
