COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hamm’s, first brewed in 1865, an America’s classic premium beer, "Born in the Land of Sky Blue Waters." Miller acquired the brand in 1999. Hamm’s is brewed in true family tradition using the purest water and the choicest barley malt, grain and hops. Hamm’s has a low to moderate body and bitterness and a low to moderate hoppy aroma. Hamm’s is available in select states.

Tap. Hamm’s is simply awful, it’s a low quality American lager. I’d much rather a Miller/Bud Lite.

12oz can. Nasty smelling stuff--cheap, industrial, korny. Dirty cheap taste, mouthfeel is ugly too. High carbonation. Not the worst beer I’ve ever had, but close.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a bright and vivid yellow color with a huge soapy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sour, corny, very tangy, industrial and a bit fusel. The flavor was sour, tangy, very corny and very industrial. Medium length corn and industrial lager finish. Thin body. Pretty awful even for this category.

Can at home, courtesy of adnielsen. Thanks a lot Aaron. Pour is clear straw yellow with a big white head and good lacing. Sweet corny, grainy aroma - straw, biscuit, light grass, heavy metallic notes, and dough. Taste is grainy, cereal, metallic, sweet corn, biscuit, and dough. Light body with huge carbonation. Not a very good beer, but easy-drinking and I would definitely choose it over a number of macro lagers.

Saw it at Food Maxx. Was always kind of scared of cheap lager. Back in the day i remember cheap beer tasted kinda nasty. After drinking good ales for a long time, i sort of migrated back to the pale lager. I just like a refreshing beer, and not the big huge meal of an IPA every time. Anyway, I drank some Miller High Life at the horse races, and it wasn’t so bad. That kinda sprawled me into this cheap beer thing. I like how a lot of these cheap beers have a lot of history, etc. So I tried the PBR a few times... even out of the keg I’m just not feeling that one. I buy the miller high life every now and then. I bought a few tall cans of Busch one day, and Man, was I impressed with that one. I guess it’s hit or miss. Anyway, saw this stuff and food maxx and had to give it a go. 12 bucks for 24 cans. Pours with a two finger head that reduces to a lasting film of bubbles that leave tiny amounts of lacing. Probably just a dirty glass who the hell knows. Anyway, the first sip of this stuff wasn’t so pleasant. The overpowering taste was metal. And metal kinda has a bitter flavor, right? So now I’ve had one or two, and I’m thinking- that’s not metal, it’s hops. Metal ones. So now i have a decent tasting, nicely-hopped-for-a-lager drink, and you know what? I’m gonna have another one. Nothing to do with the beer, it’s just cuz i’m an alcoholic. I don’t mind this stuff. Will buy again. Thanks!!!

Can. Pours a clear very pale yellow body with a one inch frothy white head that actually had pretty decent retention. The nose is mostly corn with a bit of a cooked vegetable note that is a bit of a turn off. The flavor is pretty similar to what you’d expect from the aroma. Light corn and straw with a veggie laced finish. The finish is pretty short and actually on the cleaner side for a Pale Lager. Light bodied and fizzy with a slight clinginess. About on par with the average for the style.

Can from LeninCat. Poured into a tulip. Beautiful pale golden hay with a little pillow of white head. Aroma and taste of sweet nothings. Could shotgun this all night.

Can @ home. Picked up a twelver for Cubs opening day. Been working on the fucker since them. Pours a clear golden appearance with a decent off white head. Tons of corn, vanilla, dull hops, and bland grains in the nose. Somewhat watery, a bit metallic, slightly spicy, corny, a touch fruity flavor. Decent pale lager but really kind of a worthless beer.

Probably the best of the mass produced pale lagers, but only by a hair. Tastes like it looks, which is awful, but has no flavor to prevent you from binge drinking this into oblivion, unlike the foul smell/flavors of many other mass produced pale lagers.

Let’s take this beer for what it is a super cheap getting drunk beer. It does not have much flavor yet it doesn’t taste horrible like a miller or bud lite. I would probaly pick PBR over this when I want a cheap easy to drink beer
