This canned brew poured a small head of mostly diminishing medium sized white colored bubbles that left behind a transparent straw yellow colored body and a poor lace. The aroma was a mild malt hop one but a bit stronger than most American Standards. The mouthfeel is a bit thicker too with a smooth feeling from start to finish with a tad of metallic acidity in the finish. The flavor is mild malt and hops with dough and grass in it.

Well, it didn’t offend me... I guess that’s a start. Mild aroma of corn, rice, or mutated barley. Miniscule taste of grain.

12 oz can - Eagle Street Grille, downtown, St. Paul, Mn. Coming full circle with this beer - probably the first beer I ever had in my life - used to steal sips of this from my Dad when I was six years old! Pours a light golden, with a thin, pithy white head. Metallic, American lager aroma with hints of grass. Flavor is old fashioned American lager with hints of steel and a bit of honey sweetness. I could imagaine drinking this after a long day on the farm. Thinnish mouthfeel, but refreshing. Delivers what it promises.

Had from a 12oz can. Well it’s about what you’d expect for the style. It’s not terrible, but it’s not a delicious specialty either... fine for some fun and testing out!

UPDATED: APR 19, 2004 Yes, another -classic- from Pabst. Watery, no flavour, lacking everything...

Had in the can but I can guess at the appearance. Taste was a "full-bodied" lager. Pretty decent, although I must temper that statement by saying I was working outside and it was really hot. Perfect for that situation though.

This is one of my canoe trip beers. Sure, she ain’t much, but ya gotta love that bear. I feel that when on the river, it’s important to stay hydrated in the hot sun. So you see, a beer that is closer to water than it is beer does indeed have a role in this man’s life. Kudos to the decades of goof-ball advertising.

Can. Pouts a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of corn with some sweet grains and not much else. Flavor is similar with a good amount of sweet corn with backing sweet grains.

You get what you pay for, and with Hamms you get a lot of beer for a little money. Pale yellow in color. A slight bite when it first hits the tongue. It's only drinkable ice cold. The low price is the only reason to buy it.
