500ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Amber with a thick loose off-white; unfortunately a duff bottle with a vinegary smell and taste. I’ll need to rate this again.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol, 18/8/08. Amber in colour with next to no head. Aroma of red fruit, caramel and some indeterminate spice. Earthy malt drove the flavour, with more sweetness in the background and a decent bitter finish. An awful lot of punch for a 3.5% beer, but not quite my thing.

Cask at Barnaby Rudge, Broadstairs: Nice malty bitter. Amber in colour. Quite sweet with a touch of toffee, but really malt dominates this beer, in a good way though. I could really drink this one all night. Lot’s of flavour for it’s percentage.
