2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Slightly muddy red-brown with an off white head. Malty aroma, rather grim to tell the truth. The taste is a bit of a muddle, nothing fitting in properly: earth, wet dishcloth, metal ash tray. Some late bitterness, but I wasnít enjoying it by then.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle picked up from Westholme, Londis, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, had this 11-05-08 Almost chestnut in colour with a slim bubbly white head. Some dusty hops on the nose. Taste is surprisingly bitter but with some maltiness showing, the strength and the sweetness do their best to temper this but the bitter finish lingers somewhat, despite what sounds like criticism, I actually didnít mind this at all.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ Cockney Pub, Aarhus. Slightly hazy dark amber with a small creamy white head. Aroma is lightly soapy at first, which diminishes when it heats up. There are pine-like hops. Quite bitter flavour and very dry mouthfeel. There is a lingering chocolate-ness in the background of the taste, but still a touch one-sided.
