2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hughie (3994) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, - JUL 4, 2007Slightly muddy red-brown with an off white head. Malty aroma, rather grim to tell the truth. The taste is a bit of a muddle, nothing fitting in properly: earth, wet dishcloth, metal ash tray. Some late bitterness, but I wasn’t enjoying it by then.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Fin (6180) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2008
Bottle picked up from Westholme, Londis, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, had this 11-05-08 Almost chestnut in colour with a slim bubbly white head. Some dusty hops on the nose. Taste is surprisingly bitter but with some maltiness showing, the strength and the sweetness do their best to temper this but the bitter finish lingers somewhat, despite what sounds like criticism, I actually didn’t mind this at all.
