Fin (2005), Merton, Oxfordshire, England May 15, 2008 Bottle picked up from Westholme, Londis, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, had this 11-05-08 Almost chestnut in colour with a slim bubbly white head. Some dusty hops on the nose. Taste is surprisingly bitter but with some maltiness showing, the strength and the sweetness do their best to temper this but the bitter finish lingers somewhat, despite what sounds like criticism, I actually didn’t mind this at all.
Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Hazy reddish brown colour with a little head. Aroma of dry toffee and dry caramel. Flavour of malt, munich and amber malt. Very harsh bitter and hints of chocolate/smoke. Not very balanced. Papsoe (9663), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 18, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Slightly hazy, orangey brown with a creamy, beige head. Lightly burned and smoky nose. Medium body with burned notes of malt and a whiff of smoke. Rather bitter finish. Quite a surprising British beer. 110108 joergen (6141), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 Bottle.
Clear orange red coloured with an off white head.
Fruity aroma of caramel, roasted malts, coffee and flowers.
