Cask conditioned @ Standing Order (JDW), Soton. Lots of sweet caramelly malt flavours with the slightest touch of fruit. Fairly sweet the whole way through with some bitterness right at the end. Some interest but a bit sweet.

Brownish apperance and poured with a small head.Slightly nutty with traces of malt. Lacks the acidity that many British bottle conditioned beers seem to have.
An above average ale-but can you really call it a strong ale at 5 per cent?

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Mahogany colour. Roasty grass aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied, notes of licorice and coffee. There’s lots of herbal bitterness, Fernet Branca or Gammeldansk style, in the finish.

Many thanks to SilkT for slipping this one in at the Market Porter. Deep amber colour with a large beige head. Spicy Christmas flavours that are full and round on the palate. Very tasty drop.

Bottle. Fairly full flavoured. Quite dry, with some carbonation, lightly spicy, with some caramel, some light tang in the finish. medium bitterness, fairly good.
