Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw as well as lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50cl.
Light light unclear medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, fruity, peat - rubber, red grape notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090321]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy golden with a tall and firm off-white head leaving some lacework. Fruity aroma. Medium body, sweetish fruit accents and again a light underlying smoky note which probably indicates an infection. The finish is dry. 210309

Bottle, 5.4%. Weak citric aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour has a little malty sweetness and some smoke. I do not think the smoke is intentional, but it tastes OK.

500ml Bottle-Dark golden/amber in colour. Malty and fruity and aroma with only a hint of the red grapes which are in this beer. A mild taste of grapes in the taste with mild bitterness and hoppiness. Quite nicely balanced.

piscator34 (1946) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 22, 2007
cask at the 2007 Oxford Beer Festival. Dark gold in colour with a bit of a pink tinge. Plastic aroma, with flavors of geranium, earth, and some bland malt. It didn’t taste very grape like to me, just plain weird. Not a fan.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough Market. Very clear copper with thin beige head. Bit of an odd rubber thing going on. Bit of fruit, then bland bitterness and then rubber. Not off, but not good either.

Gravity dispense at the White Lion, Bristol 22/9/07. Reddish amber colour with a slight, off-white head. This has added red grape juice. The aroma was slightly bitter with some supporting tart red fruit. The flavour was fruity with a bitter finish. Good.
