[ Vintage BBF 0306 ]. Clear medium orange amber colour with a huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, oxidide, toffee, leather, cheese, cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, toffee, sweet malt, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110802]

Massive lychee aroma, some sourness too. Massive carbontaion. Good roast, some liquorice. Has good light and heavy elements, but they do not integrate well.
Rerate 5 days later, post RBESG2011 Sunday. More appley in the aroma, more chocolatey in the finish. Aged quite well for a BB2006. Very rich roast, toasty and nutty. Same score.

Bottle @ Chris O’s. Thanks guys. Pours cloudy golden with a fluffy white head and lacings. Metal, fruit, yeast and corn. A bit of peach. Medium bodied.

Bottled. Amber colour with a small foamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some slight earth, herbs and mild honeyish and nutty notes. Flavour is fruits, malts, some floral and wooden notes. Pleasantly balanced, ending in a nice dry bitterness.

Bottle. Pretty much no aroma or flavour. Slightly apple fruit flavours and not hell of a lot more. Very watery finish. Stale.

Dark amber, firm head. Malty with some dark fruits present. A touch of toffee end this rather refreshing pint.
