1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20 labattfreak (58) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - OCT 17, 2005
This isn’t one of MBC’s better beers. Tastes too much like Budweiser Select. I would expect more from a microbrewer!
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 ryan (2959) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - OCT 2, 2005
Pours pale yellow with thin white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is light and malty. Flavor is tart, with some malt. Very dry beer. Texture is watery.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Aggie80 (740) - Michigan, USA - JUL 2, 2005
A very pale offering that is what is handed to those who ask for "What’s the closest you have to (Insert MegaBrew of their choice)?" Thin white head with some lacing. They have many better brews, so I’ll not try this one again, I’ll stick with the better brews!
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Silphium (2711) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 10, 2005
This is actually brewed with an ale yeast rather than a lager yeast. Light straw body, thin off-white head. Slightly cerealy, watery aroma with just a touch of grassy hops. Tangy, tart, white grape flavor (mr_kimchee nailed it) with a grassy, biscuity finish. New 2005 batch, so apparently somebody thought this deserved another run!
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2003
slightly hazy yellow. faint malty aroma. weird winey/sour grape flavours, faint note of tasted malt.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Oakes (9997) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 24, 2003
Pale cloudy appearance; funky aroma; sour cereal notes in the palate; metallic; olive oil?
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2003
Hazy pale yellow color, light white head. Sweetish aroma - sugar, and a bit citrusy which usually is not a good thing in a lager. Tart flavors, defenitely not right.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Radek Kliber (5171) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JAN 19, 2003
Slightly cloudy, small head, nothing special in look. Aroma was strong, but so what if I could not detect anything that could be peasant to my nose. Acidic, malty, low on hopps. I wanted to try this beer. As a Pole I wanted to be this beer good, maybe I wanted too much. My verdict is: This brew got nothing to do with most of Polish lagers. Hamtramck does not deserve to bear White Eagle in the label. Shame.
