COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Contract brewed by Hepworth for the Han Red Ginseng Beer Co.
"Based on a recipe used by a Chinese street-trader for a home-brew. This gentleman had placed Ginseng and Ginger roots into a vat of beer, the result was very cloudy, not cold but very refreshing. Han Red have taken this recipe, and using the best Korean Red Ginseng and Root Ginger, have made a clear amber beer which is much more refreshing than any conventional premium lager."

Brewed by an unspecified brewery in Warwick trading under the name the Han Red Ginseng Beer Co Ltd, this is a light tasting lager flavoured with ginger and ginseng. There is another beer flavoured with ginseng called Cupid Ale by the Robert Cain brewery, so this is not especially unique. The flavour is very much that of a ginger beer shandy. Light and resonably refreshing, though the sweet ginger flavour can stick to the mouth a bit. One to give a miss really.
