DraftDodger (1007) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2016
Copenhagen 20/6 2016. 33 cl bottle from Meny. A lot of medieval letters and a shield to convey the impression that this is indeed an old Gambrinus Beer. I notice that they call this a "Light" beer. Kind of misleading for a beer with a ABV of 9,6. Pours clear yellow with white head which disappears right after pouring. A lot of carbonation going on. Aroma of sweet malts and a strong whiff of alcohol. Fermented fruit and sweet caramel. Medium carbonation and thick palate. Taste is overly sweet and quite boozy. Sweet and slightly metallic aftertaste. If this is the light version I do not care to taste the heavy one.

Fast unangenehm.

Bottle split a few ways. A year over BB. Oily golden pour with a frothy off white head. Notes of syrups, sugar, honey, sweat, light hay and some straw. Overly sweet...

Gubihumle (540) - Nørre Aaby, DENMARK - DEC 23, 2015
Flaske. Farven er gylden og skumkronen er hvid. Aromaen og smagen er alkohol, malt og æble. I smagen er der desuden en god humle.

The scent is difficult to define because there are not many scent sources to go after. I taste some fruit and a little hop and actually no more. In the mouth, waking the slightly into action. The foam is pleasant and a sparkling sensation in the throat. It helps to highlight the fruity flavor dominates the taste most. It has touches of plum, peach and perhaps slightly sweet / ripe and pear? In fact, I think very well about the taste, though the high alcohol at some point is dominating part. Finally, it has a good and comfortable lingering hop bitterness, but again comes the alcohol on the field and ends after all, with a good heat.

An amber strong lager with liw head. Aroma is malty, a bit yeasty, vineous, too old? Taste is light sweet and fresh.
