COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is caramel and light saaz hop. Flavour is sweet caramel, light hop, alcohol. To sweet for me.

Pretty dark mahogany, but no head. Aroma: caramel, rye bread, hops, fruit. Taste: rye bread, roasted malt, tar?, dry, some hoppy bitterness. Ok but I think it lacks a little sweetness.

750 bottle. Dark copper, flat, no head, oily appearance. Simplistic sweet aroma has apples and no hops! Soft palate. Low carbonation, but not flat. Bread crust flavors are nice, with some burnt/char. Tasty dark bread malts but where’s the Saaz? Was a fresh bottle...

Bottle. Pours a clear, dark golden brown with a small, diminishing, beige head. Sweet malty aroma with metallic notes. A bit spicy. Molasses. Spicy flavour with molasses and fruits (plums). Bitter finish with fruity notes and a bit of alcohol. Didn’t really pick up on any hops, which is weird considering the name of the beer. 07-06-09.

Bottle. A clear, copper beer wtih a finger-thick off-white to beige head. Malty-sweet and biscuity nose with some alcohol, caramel, a hint of molasses and some hops. Sweet and malty flavor with a molasses-like, or hvidtøl-like malty sweetness. Fine bitterness too, but less than expected or hoped for. Full-bodied and warming, rather sticky. Sweet finish with some bitterness. I find the beer to be a bit too much, with less hoppyness than expected from the name. A quite decent beer though. (090401)
