COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Balanced and Resinous. Midwestern malted barley provides a pedestal for you to experience the flavor and aroma of the citrusy Northwestern hops which are the showcase of Hangar 24ís version of a true classic. An American Pale Ale. Additional Information: What makes Hangar 24 Pale Ale special is its smoothness. Carefully selected hops added at just the right times during the brewing process, including post fermentation, give a deep hop flavor without the coarse bitterness that some associate with pale ale.

Has a pretty good hop aroma. Looks fine. The flavor is hoppy, but certainly not overly so, a pretty good balance, although maybe a bit more malt at times than I like. Still pretty solid.

Sampled on 7/10/2011. This American Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing. The aroma is cereal, grapefruity and citrusy. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal, citrusy and grapefruity. Decent carbonation. Very citrusy but not all that bitter. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. A very drinkable American Pale Ale. The mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, dry and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Typical if uspectacular version of a California Pale Ale - light golden color, decent citrussy hop nose and palate, very light malt and body.

I liked this beer, it had a nice copper color a floral aroma and taste, with a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle: † Hazy golden, very orange and dirty, fine sediment floats about, large frothy white head, fairly nice lacing. † Musty candied citrus peel nose, pale hops. † On the tongue its a little musty/barnish. † Not real bright, hops are subtle. † Tiz clean, but not as hoppy as I would have liked. † I did sit on this bottle for a while, so no doubt it has mellowed. † Body and mouthfeel are moderate. † Finish feels musty, a little over the hill. † That aroma just encapsulates me, just this candied citrus peel makes me want something sugary sweet. † Perhaps a little over the hill, but still clean and enjoyable.   Thanks Tim!

On tap at the brewery. It pours gold with a white head. The aroma is citrus, grass, and hints of tropical sweetness. The flavor is light with a strong citrusy, grassy, orange hop finish. A bit light on the palate.

A: The pour is a slightly hazed golden orange color with a finger or two of white had. S: Nice citrus hop aromas followed by a definite pine character. The piney hops are incredibly oily and resinous which you donít often find in a pale ale. Some moderate malt notes of bread and biscuit malts. T: A nice flavor, but not quite as good as the nose. Not as much citrus and the pine is not as intense either. More toward the bready malt side of things with some grapefruit peel adding additional bitterness and maybe some floral notes. M: Medium in body with the carbonation on the high end of medium. O: Pretty decent pale ale, though itís a bit too bitter without a ton of hop flavor.
