COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Balanced and Resinous. Midwestern malted barley provides a pedestal for you to experience the flavor and aroma of the citrusy Northwestern hops which are the showcase of Hangar 24ís version of a true classic. An American Pale Ale. Additional Information: What makes Hangar 24 Pale Ale special is its smoothness. Carefully selected hops added at just the right times during the brewing process, including post fermentation, give a deep hop flavor without the coarse bitterness that some associate with pale ale.

12 oz bottle from local grocery store. Pours a translucent brass color with a small white head that has fair retention. The aroma is soft and indistinct with mild grains, grass and a hint of melons. The flavor, unlike the nose, is fairly assertive, with complex citrus--I get oranges, mangoes and papaya. The malt base is bready and compliments the hops nicely. The palate is a bit on the lighter side which is appropriate for the style, and the carbonation is lively. Finishes short and dry. Overall: Iím impressed, this pale ale rocks.

Knotty barrel. Not much aroma for something called Amarillo. Tastes ok bit not great like other Amarillo single hop beers ( ie de mollen, mikeller). Watery and pointless. Itís not bad though.

Bottle picked up at an Angels game. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Nose is floral hops, bread, malts. Flavor follows. Thin mouthfeel and bitter finish. Easy to drink but light on flavor.

On tap at Father's Office. Light and refreshing with a bit of nice hoppiness. Nothing terribly impressive, though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle, out of the bottle. Aroma is a bit of malt and fresh hop notes. Taste is crisp caramel malt and nicely bitter piney hops. I wouldnít describe them as "resinous" by any means, but... well hopped for a pale. Tasty and a nice pale.

Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy amber orange color with a thin white head. Aroma has a light citrusy orange pear characteristic. Flavor is mildly bitter that disappears quickly in the finish. Funky aftertaste thats hard to describe. Not exactly pleasant. Light in body. A decent example of a pale, but nothing spectacular.

Rich golden yellow pour, white head. Nice grassy and floral hops hit up front then a bit of a malty backbone peeks throug and the citrus hop finish is nice. Enjoyed this one!

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Firestone restaurant pint glass From: VONS in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $13.97 (with VONS card) for a variety 12-pack Purchased: June 1, 2013 Consumed: June 1, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a copper orange, rather clear color with about four fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Lots of thick sporadic foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Great thick and foamy retention all the way down. Initially smelled a mixture of orange , tangerine and lemon. Also butter, wheat, grass, honey and floral notes. Taste wasnít quite like the nose. Seemed to taste bitter coffee notes. Some citrus notes (orange, faint grapefruit, lemon), pale ale notes (grainy grass, honey, wheat) and buttery malts. Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, abrupt finish. Just didnít like this beer. Not happy that I have three more in my variety 12-pack.

On tap at Mohawk Bend, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of mild floral hops and some biscuity malts. Flavour of moderate floral hops, a little citrus, and some biscuity malt backing. Pleasantly floral with a good hoppiness for a pale ale. Good stuff.

Pours a yellow with an almost neon yellow tint to it. Aroma of malted hops and corn. Taste is simple with a mild hop aftertaste. A slight metallic taste after the swallow. A mild pale ale that was not complex.
